Champagne for Marilyn

Marilyn fans will be coming from all over to see this sparkling spectacle of the Golden Age of Hollywood. A bygone era that many still love and enjoy this is a fantastic opportunity to see Marilyn Monroe, Jane Russell, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon on the silver screen.
Some Like it Hot (1959) When two male musicians witness a mob hit, they flee the state in an all-female band disguised as women, but further complications set in.  Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) Showgirls Lorelei Lee and Dorothy Shaw travel to Paris, pursued by a private detective hired by the suspicious father of Lorelei's fiancé, as well as a rich, enamoured old man and many other doting admirers.  Both films are being shown for the first time in a double bill on Saturday 21st April at the Embassy Cinema, Ilfracombe.  There will never be a better chance to see these films on the silver screen.

Dan Martin of Fleek Gallery Ilfracombe will be presenting a bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne to the best Marilyn lookalike after the double bill  Plus, for the under 18’s a prize of a box of chocolates will also be presented.
