The Wave Project

The Wave Project Devon started in Croyde in 2013. Run entirely by volunteers they provide one-to-one surfing lessons for young people with mental health issues as a way of getting them outside, doing physical exercise and feeling more confident about themselves.

Plastic Free North Devon

Plastic Free North Devon is a local community group that works with local councils, businesses, schools and community groups to reduce the consumption of single-use plastic in North Devon. They aspire to see radical transformation towards a healthier and more informed relationship with our environment.

BELLE'S PLACE

Formerly ‘The Real McCaf’, Belle’s Place provides a safe and friendly environment for young people to meet, socialise and to learn new skills. Qualified, experienced youth workers are on hand to offer advice and support on a wide range of areas that may affect young people.

Belle’s Place is named memory of Christi Kelly. Christi, who was known as Belle, died after contracting malaria while volunteering in Kenya.

ILFRACOMBE SEA CADETS

Part of the UK’s oldest nautical youth charity, Ilfracombe Sea Cadets helps to enable young people to go to sea, learn how to sail and undertake adventure training. Youngsters aged 10 to 18 are given a great start in life and a chance to develop new skills.
