GREAT FILMS TO SEA! 3 DAYS OF MOVIE MAGIC COMING TO THE EMBASSY CINEMA ILFRACOMBE APRIL 2018

The aim of the Film Festival

The aim of the Film Festival is to make Ilfracombe a number one destination for film-goers across North Devon and the West Country.
Providing local people, living in very isolated rural/coastal communities, with the opportunity to see the kind of films they would rarely get a chance to see in a cinema bringing positive benefits to them and their families and friends.  We are very keen to encourage people to experience the power of seeing films on the big screen, in particular old and young people who may not feel the cinema is part of their lives or whose experience of film is through their devices!

The festival is organised by a team of core volunteers,
whom have been involved since the first festival in 2016.

The 2016 Film Festival

Most people we surveyed reported that the Festival exceeded their expectations. They said it gave them the opportunity to see films they never would normally have come to see and the chance to meet fellow film-goers and have an amazing shared experience.  It is our aim to continue this great work and again exceed people’s expectations through the power of film.
